Looking Back and Looking Ahead
Edition #50: Inside The Invisible

Inside The Invisible has now been in existence for a little over a year. During that time, we have produced a weekly email newsletter focused on the topics of spiritual growth. We have grown from my initial list of 438 friends and colleagues to a subscriber list of over 7700. In this newsletter, I want to pause and take stock of what we have accomplished and give you a preview of where we are going.
The Enso. As you can see, our newsletter now has a fancy masthead and (to my eye) a nice professional look. The graphic on the left, which looks like the capital C, is actually an Enso, the Japanese symbol for Enlightenment. It symbolizes the ability to see ourselves and the world around us from a non-dual, or unitive, perspective, something that is very much needed today. As a symbol of unity, the Enso seems particularly appropriate for the content of our newsletter.
Over this last year, I have had the privilege of writing essays on the topics of spirituality and spiritual growth. These essays started off, kind of willy-nilly, as I addressed topics that I saw as spiritually confusing. My intent was to clarify some of the strange elements that have made their home under the umbrella of “spirituality.” The problem, as I saw it, was a jumble of often contradictory ideas which typically lead people to stuck places. Stuckness, though, is the opposite of the freedom that genuine spirituality promises us.

About three months ago I began to look at this collection of essays in a different way. It was as if my writing had surfaced many of the major components that are necessary for genuine spiritual development. Once these pieces were clearly identified, I began to see the patterns that connected them. This was hugely exciting!
These emerging patterns suggested that we could create a graduated program for spiritual development. Something that was beyond the capabilities of our weekly newsletter. Thinking on this further, and after talking with several spiritual friends about this matter, we decided that the most productive pathway would be through a website. Using a web-based platform, we could offer clear sequenced instruction on the elements of the spiritual life. The more we explored this, the more exciting this opportunity appeared.
This is what we are working on now. We hope to have the website ready for an initial release sometime around early May this year. (If history is any guide, that means we will open sometime after July 4! LOL) Kasey Leedom is collaborating with us and is designing this beautiful new site. As the pieces get put in place, one after another, the pattern is clarifying even further. The freedom that Jesus and all of the great spiritual avatars have promised us seems increasingly in reach.

To date, I have asked nothing of you, my subscribers. My wife and I have paid for the production and distribution of the Invisible newsletter from our retirement savings, and we are happy to do so. The costs of creating and maintaining the website, however, are beyond our financial capabilities.
While I intend to keep producing the Invisible newsletter free of charge, I will need to charge for access to the Invisible website. I don’t need to make any money from this endeavor. I do, however, need the website to pay for its own expenses.
We are working now on a preview site, to give you an idea of exactly what we are offering. You will be the first to find out when that site is ready and I think you’ll find two things. First, the beauty of the site will take your breath away and may well move you to tears. (The first time I saw it, I burst out crying!) Second, the sequencing of instruction is intuitively compelling. It is as if we have hit upon a heretofore hidden algorithm that opens the wonders of the spiritual world to us.
Now mind you, I am not Enlightened. I do not have the personal experiential knowledge necessary to bring you into full union with the Divine. I do, however, have some 70 years of discerning the path and then following where it leads. Along the way, I have found a number of methods for spiritual transformation that are very effective. It is these methods – taught step by step – that I will be able to share in our new website.
What this can do for you is clear away the fog, the superstitions, and the authoritarian nonsense offered by traditional religions. It also cuts through a lot of the nonsense offered by spiritual groups that have an incomplete understanding of the Way. I can show you how to reach the Presence of God within yourself. I can show you how to make your home there.
In an ideal world, each spiritual aspirant would find a teacher who could work with them individually, carefully guiding them directly and surely into the depths of Divine Love. Sadly, in the world in which we find ourselves, such spiritual elders are extremely difficult to find. What is worse, there is a proliferation of voices claiming to be this kind of wise elder. How can you tell the difference? And once you can discern the difference, how do you find such an elder?
The Invisible website will offer you an intensive course in the elements of spiritual development. Because we come to this endeavor at different levels of spiritual maturity, there will be several tracks to accommodate beginners all the way through those who are expert in these areas.
The study will be self-paced, which means there is no pressure on you to complete the coursework in any particular timeframe. In fact, because this kind of work is different from what you learned in school, the pacing is deliberately slow. The coursework revolves around learning with and through your heart, and this simply is not taught in the schools you have attended up to this point.
Finally, we plan to offer group spiritual direction over a zoom – like platform. This will allow for more individualized instruction, and will provide a platform to address the questions you might have.
So, I hope I have piqued your interest and generated some excitement.

And now I have something to ask of you. I have given freely to you for the past year by producing the Invisible newsletter. Here are two things you can do to help with our efforts.
First, could you send us a donation to help defray the expenses of setting up this website? You can send money through PayPal or Zelle using the codes below. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Zelle: send to Ken at the tag: inside-the-invisible
Second, could you send us the email addresses for one or two (or even more) of your friends and family who might enjoy our newsletter? If you have found these scribblings helpful, I suspect you have friends who are dear to you who would find the same benefit. So please, share what you yourself have enjoyed this past year with those you love.
You can send the addresses to: [email protected]

That’s all for now. Remember to keep up your daily meditation practice and even more importantly, remember that you are blessed in every way, today and always!
With deep affection,

What Invisible Offers
After reading Invisible for a short while, you will begin to notice:
A quiet groundedness beneath the noise of daily life
Greater calm, clarity, and inner freedom arising from within
A growing awareness of God in ordinary moments
Language for truths you have long sensed but never named
A gentle opening of the heart – free from dogma or pressure
Invisible will not give you new beliefs.
It will help you see with new eyes.
P.S. These newsletters were written in a particular order, but due to the limitations of our email delivery system, we cannot send them in the order in which they were written. We can send out the first five in order, but then the system sends out the next one, whatever that happens to be.
So, if you are suddenly moving from issue #5 to issue #whatever, it might be a little jarring. If this sounds like you, I would encourage you to go back into our archives and do your best to read them in order.
Humility as a Tool → Letting go → Fear → Openness → Acceptance & Growth
